I'm STILL trying to figure out how to draw with that bloody tablet. I blame the media. No, really, I've got photoshop elements but it's for fixing pictures and not...you know, just like drawing.

I was also having a major problem trying to draw a straight line. It's hard to keep the pen steady when it's a plastic nib on plastic. I'd start smooth and end wobbly, and it never really went where I said for it to go. I've since solved that problem, at least I think, by knotting a tissue around the front. Wacom offers felt tips, but at 4.95 plus shipping I looked around for other options. The tissues seem to be working nicely, now if I could only get a program that didn't screw me with limited pen options.

I've dropped the housewife idea, a) because I figured out I can't draw men, b) because her character design kept changing because I was becoming steadly lazier with her, and c) BECAUSE JOSH LESNICK IS A PRICK. He wonders why he's losing fans, well he lost this one right here by not replying. Not even a "Dear Lisha, you're art fucking sucks. Get stuffed, and good luck with that whole ugly thing" It's not like I didn't make myself obvious, I even posted on a new and scant forum that he referenced less then a week later and even made a new post in. Oh he READ my shit, he just didn't care. And it's not like I PUSHED it, the dude just didn't give me any sort of feedback or acknowledgement. I can't help but admit you resent the people who pretend you don't exist. So screw him. I've stopped reading Girly not only because of that but because of the inane and confusing storylines that stretch forever, art that is hard to pick out of the background sometimes and honestly? He's gotten lazy with his shit to. Everything looks like he threw it together.

Now that I'm finished that little rant, it's time for my next big project. Turns out Shawn's sister now has a fiance! With Shawn and I being students, we can't exactly afford a big gift...Lynnes not like that anyway, but I'd feel badly looking at the registry and saying "napkin holders, why don't we get her the napkin holders?" I asked Lynne what she'd want that was please please please in our budget, just so we didn't get her something she's only half in love with. She spat out painting immediately. WELL, no pressure there is there? Aparently she likes fall stuff, and with the wedding being in October I see it as a lovely time if any to give over a painting for their new lovenest. My only issue is what to paint, I might possibly be over my head here. I'm looking at taking a painting class this summer through the university but not paying for it, after all I've got my schedule packed as is with courses, but it'll at least get me some learning under my belt and maybe I'll produce something that isn't utter crap.

So that's the update on the arty side of me.
